I have just had a new Purpleline Enduro 2 mover fitted to my Swift Challenger 560. I have a brand new 110AH leisure basttery installed (fully charged over 2 days on my 8A car charger) and have tried 2 lots of new handset batteries (new, obviously). The problem is that since fitting, the caravan moves incredibly slowly on level tarmac and stops if I try to drive it up a very small (2cm grass verge). The rollers drive really well and continuously when not in contact with the wheels but as above when in contact, with the added problem of intermittently switching off. The fitter says this is normal for a caravan as heavy as mine but it weighs in at less than 1450kg at this time. Surely the Enduro should move that weight? I have had all the electrics checked by an independent auto electrician, plus roller clearances etc and it all appears to be a very professional installation. Any ideas please?

I have a Cross Active Reich Motor Mover, fitted by Glossop Caravans. I spent a few days on a site & as I was leaving one side ,engaged with a great clang .
I had not used the mover to pitch up or to leave & felt very nervous at continuing home after I had disengaged the Mover.
Fortunately I had only travelled about 30 yards & was only doing 5 MPH.
Has anybody had similar problems / Any suggestions ? Glossop caravans were not much help.

I have a dethleffs tag axle motorhome wth alko chasis. It is front wheel drive and as such gets stuck very easily. I wondered if a motor mover could be used in conjunction with the front wheel drive to assist me getting of wet grass etc?
Any ideas

I Bought a Reich Motor Mover in April 2006.Over that period it has only been used around 24 times. The drive rollers are grit coated but around 50% of the surface area has been worn away.Reich state that this is because I have been using campground hardstandings and have not removed gravel caught in my caravan's tyres which has damaged the roller surface.Reich dispute my assertion that their unit is not 'fit for purpose' but no warning was provided by Reich and their brochure states that it 'operates on any terrain' and 'safe and secure movement on any terrain'In your opinion am I being unreasonable to ask Reich for replacement rollers and from your experience is this a common problem. The unit is a Reich Move Control 11 Comfort.
